No matter how far away from each other, there’s always a connection between sisters.
While reading I was guessing what would come next, each new twist stronger than the last. I knew that at some point the author would reveal the truth, until then I was rewarded with little bits of information. Those little tidbits told me enough to discover more and dive deeper. The story keeps going back and forth in time, making it a more complex read. With every chapter, I learned more and the characters got more depth, I understood their decisions which led to a fluid reading pleasure. Some chapters could be described as very emotional, and hard to digest for some.
I was mesmerized by the author’s way of story-telling, heartfelt and sad at the same time. She hasn’t left out anything. I read that Lucy Clarke likes to put her experiences from her travels into her stories and that’s noticeable when you read her books. I like this style and she never disappoints. I hope there will be more to read from her in the future.
