Anthony Peardew ist the keeper of lost things. Ever since he lost his wife, and an important token she gave him once as a gift, he collects lost items. He lifes alone in his House Padua. His only company are Laura, the Housekeeper and his Gardener.
After he dies he leaves Padua and everyting in it to Laura. He also gives her the task of finding the owners of all his lost things.
In the process of honoring Andrews wishes she finds herself.
