New York City, 1969 during one long and hot summer, 4 siblings Daniel, Varya, Klara and Simon are bored and looking for distraction when word goes round that there is a treveling psychic who is able to tell the future and more specifically predict your date of death.
Naturally they are equally fascinated and scared but do indeed go and get their readings. What follows is the recount of how each of them deals with this questionable information, how it goes on to influence their choices in life.
A very promising premise, in my opinion; however, unfortunately, I found not all parts of the book equally interesting and enjoyable to read.
Nevertheless, I can recommend the book to fans of Meg Wolitzer and Kim Edwards.
