I like the idea of the story. Adeline didn‘t want the life that her parents wanted for her and so she prayed for help. Someone (like a god) answered her and gave her what she asked for: freedom. So she was free but not like she wished. Her life was depressing but she fighted through everything. She lived at least 300 years and learned and saw a lot. After 300 years she met someone special. I don‘t want to spoil too much here that‘s why I don‘t explain more.
The story skipped between times and is was easy to read. It didn‘t catch me very much but it‘s a nice book for relaxing.
