I’ve heard so much good about this book. I enjoy Richard Osman as a TV presenter, so I really looked forward to reading his book.
A bunch of pensioners solving crimes; with their semi-legal tactics they can gather information much quicker than the police. Beeing old lets them get away with almost everything. Elizabeth seems to be the leader, then there are Ron and Ibrahim. And Joyce fills the vacant spot.
While the characters are really funny, the plot is quite chaotic. Some chapters are from Joyces diary. That she is new to the group is only mentioned in the beginning, so I don’t know what the author is going for. For me it just added to the confusion.
It’s still a good and fun read, the book just couldn’t match my expectations.
