In a world where superheros are real, but forbidden by US law, and where the Cold War makes people fear a looming apocalypse we follow a diverse cast of morally grey characters in their quest to uncover a conspiracy that no one saw coming. Although the book centers around a group of superheros (and in my opinion total psychopaths) it also discusses the very human question of morality. The unique parallel story telling of Alan Moore and the beautiful illustrations of Dave Gibbons make this story even more compelling. Everyone with a love for slow-building suspense, great character studies and an unforeseen plot twist should read this. A true classic.
