Similar to The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse this book is purely wholesome and lends you little nuggets of wisdom here and there.
Granted, the advice and counsel isn’t enirely new/original, but to have it in one book and with the characters of the Big Panda and the Tiny Dragon representing two people, two viewpoints, two lives – and with those wonderful illustrations (swipe for sneak peek) – makes it something special again.
I loved getting to pick it up every once in a while and reading some of these wonderful words.
To quote two of my favourite sayings in the book:
“If you seek happiness for others you may find it for yourself.”
“‘It’s a shame we didn’t plant this tree a long time ago,’ said Tiny Dragon. ‘Imagine how big it would be.’ - ‘We’re doing it now,’ said Big Panda. ‘That’s the important thing.’”
