Serena is a war-photographer like her father. After his unexpected death she is working on his biography. As her ex-fiancée calls her for help, she return to the familiyhome in Europe. There she discovers photos that lead her back to the frontline of a war, where she never wanted to be again.
It’s a novel about family secrets, relationships and love. While I liked reading about Serena and her sisters, and her godfather, I thought her ex-lover to be really unpleasant. Unfortunatly that quite ruined the book for me, as the relationship between the two of them was dominant throughout the book.
