After a tragic event, Rosemary finds a new Job and a new Identity on board a tunnelling ship. After arrival she gets to know its crew. It’s a mixed ship so there are Humans but also other species working hand in hand.
At first Rosemary is very shy and doesn’t feel like she belongs. One day the ship gets attacked and she is able to safe the crew by negotiating with the enemies. From then on she feels at home and the crew gets to be like her family.
I found it a bit hard to get into the story, because I don’t read much science fiction and there is allot of technical talk and also the other species on the ship are well explained, but I still had trouble picturing them.
But I got into the story line and it gets very thrilling. We learn the reason why Rosemary had to change her identity and there are some heart-breaking parts in the book as well.
All in all it’s a good read, even if you usually don’t like Science Fiction.
