Despite the fact that the plot deals with more adult topics, it can be read by younger readers. It fits right into the Young Adult genre. But who is to say that A Good Girl’s Guide to murder is strictly for younger people? I am older than the genre recommends, and I had a lot of fun reading the story, despite seeing young adult books not as my cup of tea. When I learned something while reading this, it’s not to judge a book by its genre. It’s not because of the TikTok recommendation that got me hooked, but the topic about a crime committed years ago. And that a curious schoolgirl is trying to solve it, transformed this plot into something new. Not the usual crime investigation, where the police are heavily involved. And Pip is such a lovely character, very bright and inventive. I will definitely come back for more of the series. And it has also changed my opinion about Young Adult books; they are worth giving a try.
