Honestly, I wasn’t much invested in the story until the fake dating with Jamie started. He made the story more lively. Too many pages are dedicated to Laurie’s ex! The story also touches on the harsh realities of female ambition in male-dominated workplaces. Overall, it’s a heartwarming romance about reclaiming your worth and discovering that sometimes the best relationships are the ones you never saw coming.
