Every fan of the Robert Langdon book series has been waiting for this sequel. As in the other books, the story is set in a specific city. This time it’s Prague, which has plenty of cultural sights to offer. The author has once again skillfully woven these landmarks into the plot. I found reading about these landmarks very exciting—so interesting, in fact, that I had to look up the respective locations to get more information. Despite the interesting locations, Dan Brown doesn’t lose sight of the main story, which gets quite turbulent at times. I found the scientific background extremely exciting, though a bit difficult to understand at first. Over time, however, I was able to better grasp the logic behind it and follow the cat-and-mouse chase more closely. The forces Robert Langdon has to fight against are revealed only slowly, but this approach fits skillfully into the plot. In my opinion, the wait was worth it, but I hope we don’t have to wait another 8 years for a sequel.
