I finished this a week ago and some feelings and thoughts I had while reading are still with me, somehow making it harder to write a review. I did not expect to love this book so much.
I adored the overly flowery language, the metaphors and descriptions. I loved Agnes being described as a weird, witchy girl, not fitting into this world of the 16th century and her brother, understanding her like no one else can. And I apprectiated the famous playwright not being mentioned by his name once. 😉
The grief the family has to live through was so, so heartbreaking and still makes me feel way too much.
I’ll definitely remember this book.
