A Cannibal’s journey from a terrifying villain to an adored antihero, which took many years to fulfil. It’s a must-read for everyone who has read the book or seen the film The Silence of the Lambs. Because this book adds some in-depth insights and material that aren’t known otherwise.
But be aware that this collection of interviews, among other interesting facts, is not for the faint-hearted.
I wasn’t aware of how the figure of Hannibal Lecter had such an impact on future creations of films and series, even to this day. Enjoy might be the wrong word here to use, but I found it interesting how Thomas Harris came to create The Silence of the Lambs and the following sequels, behind the scenes or the research that went into it. Knowing those facts now might give an interesting twist when watching the films or reading the books again.
