Sweet Venom by Rina Kent follows the story of Jude and Violet, whom we first met in Beautiful Venom. In this book, we find out how Jude and Violet met, why he was following her and how Violet ended up in a coma - which ultimatley led to Dahlia getting close to Kane in book one.
Violet was just a name on a list until Jude realized he had met her before. A moment in the rain. Their story feels a bit rushed at times, which might be due to the time jumps. At least that’s how it felt to me.
As expected in a dark romance Jude is definitley not a green flag. He’s possesive, dangerous and fully embodies the “Touch her and ☠” energy.
Overall, I enjoyed Sweet Venom more. And I really like Preston (they got me there 🔫.) I can’t wait for his book! I am really looking forward to read his and Marcus story in Tempting Venom.
