VERY disturbing, creepy and upsetting story, but utterly unputdownable. Provided me with several almost sleepless or disturbed nights, tossing around in bed with strange dreams.
I celebrated Holly‘s comeback as an independent woman, stronger than ever. She is just so lovable and quirky. Loved also the development of her relationship with Ralph, who was also very likeable, comparable to Bill Hodges.
I worked hard towards this book - I initially thought it was a standalone book (which it can be), but then learned that it‘s lead up upon by the Bill Hodges trilogy. So I decided to commit to the complete experience, which I am glad I did as it made me appreciate Holly so much more.
After reading the Bill Hodges series and this first book of Holly‘s series end to end, I finally and definitely need something lighter now 😬
