I’m a bit torn about this book. On the one hand, I could hardly put it down because I was so desperate to know what happened next, and I also liked the writing style. On the other hand, I couldn’t always follow Mara and Cole’s actions, more so with Mara than Cole. The book is written alternately from Mara’s and Cole’s point of view, which I also liked. Since the book simply ends, I’m really looking forward to book 2 and I hope it won’t be quite as confusing. Would I recommend the book? Yes, kind of, but kind of not. Complicated is a pretty good description.
