I have read all the previous Harry Hole books and could witness how the character developed from one case to the next. How the crimes he tried to solve changed him and affected him privately. He’s still fighting with his demons from the past, I think this is a part of him that will always linger something I recognized after reading Killing Moon. After so many books in a series, it won’t get easier to keep the protagonist interesting, it’s somehow understandable but Harry Hole has lost some of his shine in this book. He was trying to solve the case but was too much in two minds, and did not act his usual self.
The case and the killer had my full attention right from the start, interesting to follow. Jo Nesbo has done an impressive work creating this psychopath as the killer.
I hope that Killing Moon hasn’t been the last one of Harry Holes cases.
