Usually, Jack Reacher can rely on his expertise and senses, but this time it won’t be that easy. This covert group doesn’t intend to make it easy, they stick to their plan.
It is unusually slow-paced, but this may be caused by Reacher being confronted with such a hard-to-crack case. I missed a bit of Reacher’s strong Dirty Harry style, only close to the end he finds back to his habitual ways, which every fan of this series likes. I had difficulties following the story, it was too slow and therefore took me a rather long time to complete this part. Only to find the conclusion more or less squeezed in, compared to the middle part too short. Nevertheless, I give this novel four books, because I found the idea behind the story interesting.
