Sophie moved from London to the countryside after marrying her Prince Charming, well not a Prince but he does have a title. But her happy-ever-after didn’t turn out as expected. When she finds her husband in the hay with the stable girl her step-mothers advice is to just get ofter it, as a man needs his freedoms. So they try out counseling. When her husband cheats again after another disagreement, she packs her bags and runs back to London. First the scorned husband doesn’t want to agree to a divorce, but than wants to rub in, how fine he’s doing without her.
Meanwhile Sophie is starting her independant life, with an own apartment, her old job, new friends and an interesting neighbour.
A really fun shortstory, with loads of “LOL” moments, I enjoyed it all the way through. I loved, that’s in the same universe as the last book I read from Phoebe Macleod Not the man I thought he was , as I recognised a character. But there wasn’t a follow up, how he’s doing, this book was just about Sophie.
