I bought this book as a blind date. Probably my best blind date ever! It took a moment before I dived in the story.
Aiden Bishop has to solve the murder of Evelyn Hardcastle. That was his mission there in Blackheath. The Hardcastle family invitet all people that were there 19 years ago, when something tragic happened that is related to what happens now. When the day begins, Aiden wakes up in a body of someone else. That’s what happens everyday. He has 8 days and 8 hosts to solve the murder. So he has 8 different versions of the very same day because he sees different perspectives. The characters of the hosts made each story unique and I was never bored. Everyday he get some more clues, what really happened.
The way this story was written is original. I really loved to see the story in different ways. There are clues but it was hard to find out myself what could have happened. So I was surprised at the end. The way the different perspectives matches to the others is great. The links were logical to me and so I could reconstruct the whole day. For some it could be a bit confusing but if you love to take pieces together, I really recommend this book.
I’d love to read more books like this!
