Since this case is an entangled affair, with uncooperative witnesses and secrets around every corner, Guido Brunetti finds it challenging to come to a common denominator.
Probably for this reason, I found this case to be not so exciting. The story didn’t get going, a long back and forth and suddenly the case could be solved anyway. And the ending surprised me greatly, especially because the incident had been debated so vehemently, I expected another more satisfactory result. A short case that reads through quickly despite a low suspense level.
