Clean up the mess that others create.
So far, each book of the Jack Ryan series begins rather slowly, and the introduction of all the participants takes its time. In the beginning, it’s also difficult to keep these characters apart, especially the various military and federal titles, until you get the hang of it. In such a complex story I find it necessary to be aware of all the mandatory elements.
As soon as the introduction is over, the rollercoaster takes up its speed, especially the author’s detailed walkthrough of the operations, and his expertise is sensational.
Tom Clancy is the master of this genre, no one else could write such an explosive story; complex and wrapped into a fictitious plot.
I also see some connection to reality, as there are drug cartels in Colombia and other countries. And how drugs affect citizens around the world is known to everyone, so Clancy’s story isn’t far off the mark. He addresses an issue that is a problem worldwide on a political and social level. I think Clark especially stands out in this novel, he is tactically savvy and in his element, and he can really show what he is made of.
I enjoyed this novel from the first page to the last, highly recommend it.
