Practising mindfulness was relevant back then in 2005 when this book was originally published, and even more today.
In this updated version the author teaches us how to take up a mindful meditation practice, despite our busy lives.
He not only shows how but also why we should take some time for ourselves every day and practice meditation.
Meditation is for everyone, even a little time out every day brings you a little closer to a life with more awareness and to yourself.
The most interesting part for me was the one in which Kabat-Zinn describes the different types of meditation. That the seated method isn’t the only one, you choose the one you need.
Also that he shares his own experiences with meditation is beneficial and gives an interesting insight, more personal.
In some parts, the explanations were in my opinion too long, that’s why I had sometimes difficulties pursuing the story. In the end, I picked out the parts relevant to me and highlighted them for later reference.
I recommend this book to everyone new to meditation, it might be beneficial for someone who already has some experience on that subject.
